Kristina also referred to as Kris is a dedicated and passionate collegiate cross country and track athlete who has been running since her sophomore year of high school. Her journey in athletics has not only shaped her physical endurance but has also instilled in her a sense of discipline and teamwork. Running has become a major part of her life, offering a way to challenge herself and connect with the outdoors.
Here at Transcend, Kris is the front desk receptionist/CNA. Her role at our clinic includes greeting patients, answering phone calls, managing the appointment schedule, handling administrative tasks, as well as helping with clinical tasks. She also helps manage our social media web pages and post content. Her organizational skills and attention to detail ensures that everyone gets the care they need.
Growing up, Kris faced challenges that shaped her aspirations. Her mothers’s battle with leukemia led her to spend significant time at many medical clinics and hospitals, where she witnessed firsthand the impact that compassionate care can have on patients and their families. This experience is what created the desire to pursue a career in the medical field. During her time in Highschool she was in the Certified Nursing Assistant program, which solidified her commitment to becoming a nurse. The skills she learned and the experiences she gained during the program confirmed her passion for helping others and providing care. She graduated as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) and with the honor Magna Cum Laude. Currently, Kris is attending Lake Sumter State College where she is working hard to complete her prerequisites for the nursing program.
In addition to her academic and athletic pursuits, Kris is also a proud pet owner and loves animals. She has a very cute and playful dog named Princess Fiona, inspired by the character from Shrek, and a leopard gecko named Toothless, named after the dragon from How to Train Your Dragon. Her love for animals really shows, and she finds joy in caring for them and spending time outdoors. She also enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing board games, going to nature trails, training dogs, running, and learning new things. Music is another thing she enjoys. She finds that it enhances her performance and keeps her motivated while on runs or doing school work.
Kris has a genuine interest in listening to others and doing whatever she can to assist those in need. Her compassionate spirit drives her to go above and beyond for her friends, family, and anyone she encounters. She believes that small acts of kindness can make a significant difference in someone’s day, and she strives to embody that philosophy in her daily life.
As she continues her journey though college and athletics, Kris remains focused on her goal of becoming a nurse. With her caring heart, strong work ethic, and determination, she is well on her way to making a positive impact on others and achieving her goals. She embodies the spirit of resilience and compassion, and she looks forward to the opportunities that lie ahead as she pursues her career and goals.
